Balancing Technology, Transparency, and Culture

Aug 25, 2025

At Boon-Chapman, we’ve spent the summer immersed in conversations with peers, partners, and innovators about what it takes to thrive in this environment.

Our biggest takeaway? Being successful requires delicately balancing between technology, transparency, and trust. That means leading change with a culture of transparency at the forefront and embracing technology without losing the human touch. These are not new ideas, but they’re ones we’ve been refining for years, and the results speak for themselves.

Change Management Starts with Culture

When change is constant, culture becomes the anchor. Boon-Chapman prioritizes culture as a proactive effort, not a passive byproduct. One example is Coffee with Kari, a monthly open conversation hosted by our President, Kari L. Niblack, where team members can discuss challenges, share wins, and ask questions in an informal setting. Alongside this, our executive roundtables create a space for leaders across the company to collaborate on solutions and align on goals.

These touchpoints don’t just strengthen internal culture; they also make us more agile when industry shifts demand action. While many organizations struggle to bring their teams along during times of transition, we’ve built a foundation that makes change feel less like disruption and more like progress.

AI With a Human in the Loop

Artificial Intelligence is changing the way TPAs, health plans, and providers operate. But in healthcare, technology can never fully replace human judgment, empathy, and expertise. Our AI solutions designed to keep “the human in the loop.”

From streamlining claims workflows to enhancing data-driven decision-making, Boon-Chapman amplifies human capabilities rather than replacing them. This approach ensures that while AI helps us work faster and more accurately, critical decisions still benefit from the experience, context, and compassion that only people can provide.

It’s a balance not everyone gets right, but it’s one we believe is essential for long-term success.

Looking Ahead

The conversations we’re having with industry leaders, clients, and our own teams all point to the same conclusion: success in healthcare administration will come from those who can lead with both innovation and empathy.

That balance has always been our north star. We’ve built our reputation on doing the hard work of aligning technology, transparency, and trust. We’re not just talking about exciting new changes; we’re making them happen in ways that matter for our clients and their members. At the end of the day, healthcare is about people. And that will never change.
